This position is located within Community Care at the VA Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Duties

Some of the duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Compiling and analyzing raw data, articulating a reasoned response, and preparing a final draft for correspondence.
Reviewing outgoing correspondence for accuracy in final reports.
Performing timekeeping functions for the service, and ensuring accurate attendance records are kept.
Assisting in reporting and preparing statistical data.
Receiving telephone calls and visitors for the Chief and Business Manager.
Performing other related duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, applicants must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in federal service. Specific qualifying specialized experience for this position (which should be documented on your resume) is: experience using computer software programs to create documents, spreadsheets, databases, and emails; using a multi-line phone; and communicating verbally and in writing with a variety of people from different backgrounds and different levels of understanding.

IMPORTANT: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Physical Requirements: The work is partially sedentary; there are demands for standing, walking to other medical center locations, bending, and carrying objects up to 25 pounds in weight.
