Duties

You will evaluate budget management practices for adherence to regulatory or procedural requirements. You will prepare facilities budgetary estimates and justifications to obtain fiscal resources. You will respond to data calls, develop justifications, prepare briefings, or point papers in response to higher headquarters requirements. You will collect metrics data to identify trends. You will extract data from financial management systems to assist in the formulation of budget and estimates.

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying budget formulation regulations, policies, procedures, precedent decisions, practices, methods, and processes in order to assure that budget forecasts, estimates, and submissions conform to requirements; Using an automated information system (e.g., FACMAN, COGNOS, eProjects, eContracts, or other financial systems) to analyze financial data; Using quantitative and qualitative techniques to measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of assignments; Communicating project status and updates to stakeholders.
