About the Position: About the Position: This position will serve as and Financial Analyst located at the US Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC G-3) Fort Eustis, VA. Fort Eustis is located. in Newport News, between historic Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. Surrounding areas include Hampton, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, and Virginia Beach. The Hampton Roads/Tidewater area has all the conveniences of a big city with charm of small town and rural areas.

Duties

Plan, coordinate and compile complex financial data related to budgeting, reporting, training, financial management, auditing, accounting and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case closure procedures and concepts. Analyze regulatory material and initiates necessary changes concerning financial management/accounting data and information relative to Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case closure training and accounting operations. Train staff in automated procedures online input and data inquiries into financial system, i.e. Defense Security Assistance Management System (DSAMS), Standard Finance System (STANFINS), and General Funds Enterprise Business Systems (GFEBS).

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.
  • Incumbent is required to complete FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one- year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

OR B. Combination of Education and Experience: Must include at least 4 years of experience in accounting, or an equivalent combination of accounting experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional accounting knowledge.
