You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM ANALYST in the MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND (MSC), DIRCETORATE SHIP MANAGEMENT (DSM), AND DIRECTORATE SHIP MANAGEMENT BUSINESS SUPPORT GROUP (DSMB) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.
Duties
You will assign work to subordinates based on employee's capabilities, priorities and difficulty.
You will prepare and present classified and unclassified operational briefing to all levels of staff including SES and Flag officers, DSM ships concerning their materials conditions, schedules and operations.
You will communicate with the pertinent representatives and assist in resolving problems that may exist concerning ship reporting requirements and the necessary corrective action.
You will perform a wide range of analytical and administrative duties in connection with conducting, coordinating, and directing reviews or special assessments of management functions and or program.
You will provide major input into the development of policy, plans, budget, and procedures to implement the efficient and effective operation of ships assigned to DSM.
You will develop proposals and recommendations to resolve complex problems involving worldwide DSMB ship operations and institute corrective actions as appropriate to ensure timely and effective support of the fleet's mission.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
-Experience providing guidance to Program Analysts and administrative support staff on all matters related to executive assistance, common access card applications, training requirements, budget execution, etc.;
-Experience maintaining and updating ship schedules to ascertain the mission being conducted, the ship Ready for Tasking (RFT) days;
-Experience performing command reviews in accordance with established plans or on an emergent as required basis to provide the capability to insure funds and equipment employed effectively;
-Experience using real-time computer based software and programs for situational awareness such as WEBSKED, Defense Readiness Reporting System-Navy (DRRS-N), Navy Training Information Management System (NTIMS), etc.
-Experience managing the TYCOM responsibilities for the government owned ships within MSC
