You will serve as a Public Affairs Specialist (Web Media) in the Fleet Public Affairs of COMMANDER US PACIFIC FLEET.
Duties
You will provide public affairs support to fleet headquarters and subordinate commands during routine and crisis operations and exercises.
You will update and maintain command public-facing website.
You will review Joint and Navy-wide external and internal digital public information dissemination policy.
You will create new websites platforms or pages, which are currently hosted and maintained on the American Forces Public Information Management System (AFPIMS) platform.
You will conduct testing to ensure web content and functionality meets federal guidelines and regulations.
You will develop project plans and implement strategies to remediate publicly-accessible web compliance issues and improve information architecture(s).
You will utilize digital Analytics Program and perform resource management functions.
You will research and analyze advancements in new technologies and methods for dissemination of digital information.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: updating, developing, and maintaining command public-facing website and social media platforms by conducting tests and making recommendations to ensure web content and functionality meets federal guidelines and regulations.
