This position is at the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) in the Asset Management and Assistance Center. This position serves as a Liquidation Analyst.
Duties
As a Liquidation Analyst, you will:
Manage all phases of the liquidation process.
Serve as the agency expert in the area of negotiation and the use of innovative and aggressive procedures to maximize the dollar returns to the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF).
Make recommendations to agency management related to potential purchases and assumptions of liquidated assets.
Serve as the on-site "liquidating agent-in-charge" of complex liquidation cases and is responsible for the supervision of federal and non-federal employees during the on-site phase of the liquidation process.
Develop written presentations for senior management and others concerning complex financial transactions, theories, analyses of economic impact, proposed solutions, actions and strategies; and develops policies and procedures related to the work of AMAC.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is the experience that has equipped you with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
To qualify at the grade CU-13, applicants must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-12 level obtained in either the public or private sectors. Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience performing any three of the following in a financial institution:
1) Bank Reconcilements;
2) Information Systems and Technology;
3) Lending Operations;
4) Investment Analysis;
5) Compliance;
6) Financial Institution Accounting;
7) Electronic Payment Systems;
8) Fraud Detection;
9) Internal Audit;
OR
Reviewing a financial institution during an audit, examination or supervision contact in at least two of the following areas:
1) Electronic Payment Systems;
2) Compliance;
3) Fraud Detection;
4) Information Systems and Technology;
5) Complex General Ledger Review;
AND
Providing training to and reviewing the work of others.
To qualify at the grade CU-14, applicants must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-13 level obtained in either the public or private sectors. Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience performing any four of the following in a financial institution:
1) Bank Reconcilements;
2) Information Systems and Technology;
3) Lending Operations;
4) Investment Analysis;
5) Compliance;
6) Financial Institution Accounting;
7) Electronic Payment Systems;
8) Fraud Detection;
9) Internal Audit;
OR
Supervising or working with a credit union or other federally-insured depository institution through the use of an administrative action or corrective action which resulted in a liquidation, purchase and assumption, merger or other corrective action;
AND
Providing training to and reviewing the work of others.
