The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the 595th Command and Control Group focal point for the Airborne Launch Control System (ALCS), E-4B aircraft, and Strategic Automated Command and Control System (SACCS) mission areas.
Duties
Oversees and manages the Group's Technical Order Distribution Office (TODO)
Serves as a Product Improvement Functional Manager.
Acts in Command Designated Project Officer responsibilities.
Administers the Group Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) and One-Time Inspection (OTI) programs.
Conducts unit level visits (i.e. Staff Assistance Visit - SAV, Information Exchange Visits - IEV and serve as the Point of Contact for AF and DoD automated systems (i.e. ETIMS, IMDS, JDRS)

- Some night and/or weekend duty could be necessary to fulfill requirements. Shift work may also be required. Incumbent is also subject to call during non-duty hours to fulfill emergency requirements.
- Incumbent may also be required to work an uncommon shift while on duty. Incumbent may also be required to go TDY.
- This position is designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force civilian drug-testing program.
- The incumbent is to (a) refrain from the use of illegal drugs and (b) if required, submit to urinalysis testing. The selectee must sign statements acknowledging the position is identified as a TDP.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance, access is required to information or areas classified up to TOP SECRET, SAR Code 5.
- May be required to perform mobility augmented tasks for wing exercises and inspection.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-05, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes experience working with regulations and operating procedures governing the overall Group policies and administrative procedures; subject matter expert experience with various steps and procedures needed to perform duties of the Air Force Technical Order processes, to ensure all actions are accomplished and if problems exist, to identify and recommend other alternatives as needed; and experience working with various office automation software processing procedures and function keys to produce a wide range of documents.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-05 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-07 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of administrative regulations and operating procedures plus skill in applying fact-finding and
investigative techniques to include in applying logistics management consisting of aircraft and missile maintenance
procedure and policies of operational plans/programs within the 595th C2G.
Knowledge of eTo (electronic technical order) requirements, and maintenance technical order (TO) system
management, documentation, and terminology and the ability to interpret technical data, standards and instructions.
Knowledge of various software programs and databases to support office operations and produce a variety of
documents and reports.
Knowledge of the functions, capabilities and limitations of a variety of computer network systems and programs;
as well as computer related software and hardware in order to install, test, upgrade, configure and maintain proper
functionality to include basic knowledge of LAN technologies, components, and techniques in order to effectively
deal with the local communications unit in reporting problems with LAN, make minor adjustments and train unit
employees on a variety of uses
Skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues concerning the Product Improvement
Functional Manager (PIM) efficiency and effectiveness of program operations.
Skill in analyzing issues and formulating solutions to complex problems. Ability to plan, organize and adjust work operations of subordinate installations/organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely and with technical accuracy
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
