About the Position: Serve as a senior cybercriminal investigative analyst capable of producing Army-wide analyses for use by senior investigative and crime prevention leaders. The incumbent exercises seasoned judgment in applying criminal intelligence techniques and evaluating validity and pertinence of data and reports for the Cyber Directorate, U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division.

Duties

Perform intelligence system research and analysis. Identify emerging cybercrime trends and methodologies. Perform crime trend statistical analysis. Provide investigative and analytical support to criminal investigations. Gather and evaluate cybercriminal intelligence data. Create cybercriminal intelligence products such as visual charts, diagrams, and reports. Work effectively with Special Agents, Analysts, Technicians, and other Law Enforcement personnel.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. Will be required to sign DA Form 5019 requiring participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
  • Must sign a mobility agreement prior to the effective date. By signing the mobility agreement, the individual understands they may be required to relocate (PCS) to another duty station at a later date.
  • This position may require working irregular shifts/hours.

GS-13: one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes: support cybercrime investigations; use investigative techniques to research, analyze, and compile data from network intrusions and cyber-enabled crimes; prepare and review investigative reports; establish work procedures; create cybercrime intelligence products; and interact with and brief law enforcement officials and agencies on cybercrime analysis and research. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Case ManagementInvestigative AnalysisInvestigative Information GatheringInvestigative Reporting Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent. Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements and minimum qualification requirements prescribed by OPM within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
