You will serve as a INVESTIGATIVE ANALYST in the Multiple Threat Alert Center (MTAC/code 25) of NCIS.
All Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) positions are in the excepted service. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.

Duties
Integrate technical and non-technical indicators to provide a holistic view of threats posed to the enterprise.
Formulate information management plans of intelligence data within various classified databases for processing raw open-source data into indicators of threats to identity.
Analyze and evaluate the significance and validity of investigative data.
Gather investigative information (e.g., witness statements, evidence, automated intelligence systems) for reliability and credibility.
Assist in formulating detailed reports of findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
Conduct liaison visits with various communities (e.g., intelligence, law enforcement, other USG operational units) to identify capabilities or training opportunities that support special projects.
Requirements

- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Qualifications
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Researching, analyzing, evaluating and coordinating highly complex criminal intelligence information; AND
Conducting in-depth database checks to provide investigator and management with detailed criminal intelligence information.
GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Assisting with researching, analyzing, evaluating and coordinating criminal intelligence information; AND
Conducting in-depth database checks.

Education
GS-09 Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
GS-07 Education: 1 full year of graduate level education
or
superior academic achievement
