You will serve as a FIRE CHIEF (ADMIN/TRNG/LOGISTICS) in the FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVIECES BRANCH of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.
Duties
You will implement the administrative, training, and logistics policies and procedures of Fire and Emergency Services.
You will direct and control the maintenance records, reports, and statistical data of the Support Services Branch.
You will coordinate, process, and submit the budget to the Director for final approval.
You will be responsible for real property, investment property, fire and rescue apparatus, vehicles, and expendable materials that are used for the operation of the organization.
You will ensure adequate number of personnel are trained to provide emergency detection and identification of hazardous areas and to monitor emergency operations to ensure personnel safety.
You will review instructional materials and implements and/or recommends revisions in the current curriculum.
You will develop and determine training program requirements through task analysis and performance reviews.

- You will be required to possess a current valid United States driver’s license. NOTE: Failure to submit a copy of your valid DL will result in disqualification, and you will NOT be referred to the hiring manager.

- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.

- Must possess a valid State of California Driver’s License with a government operators permit of emergency vehicles within 90 days of appointment.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- Obtain Strike Team/Task Force Leader within 24 months of appointment.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- Must be willing and able to accept a temporary position.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading personnel in all phases of fire protection, equipment, emergency services, budget preparations, and staff development all while being able to make decisions and take decisive action under emergency conditions.
