You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Integrated Weapon Systems Support Division, under the Surface Operations Department, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (WSS), Mechanicsburg, PA. NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
Duties
You will coordinate and integrate actions related to the development, execution and oversight of supply support for assigned systems and equipment.
You will participate in all phases of integrated logistics support planning for all assigned systems and associated equipment/ platforms.
You will determine, negotiates and finalizes supply support matters with other logistics stakeholders for assigned systems and equipment.
You will serve as the WSS designated member of the Integrated Logistics Support Management Team (ILSMT) for assigned systems, equipment/platforms and provides supply expertise to assist acquisition managers.
You will participate in logistics planning conferences to develop provisioning plans, schedules and supply support programs for assigned systems/equipment/platforms.
You will analyze support levels to determine that the planned logistics support meets operational goals within the approved funding levels.
You will formulate, review and justify wholesale and retail budgets in accordance with existing guidelines and policy for interim, initial and follow-on support phases of the assigned systems, equipment, and platforms.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
Qualifications
GS-11:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector coordinating and integrating actions related to the development, execution, and oversight of supply support for assigned systems and equipment across the logistics management spectrum to include the coordination and development of planning for; provisioning, allowancing, configuration management, requirements determination, repairable management, post production support, budgetary planning and execution, overall program support management, logistic data maintenance, maintenance planning, procurement execution, packaging, handling, storage and transportation.
Specialized Experience must demonstrate the following:
1.) Planning, preparing and coordinating program requirements;
2.) Managing multiples projects to ensure program requirements meet minimum levels of material support;
3.) Conducting research and analysis on Navy managed material;
4.) Ensuring product support outcomes through developing and implementing appropriate technical documentation packages;
5.) Providing guidance, instruction and resolutions of technical nature on logistics problems.
GS-12:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector coordinating and integrating actions related to the development, execution, and oversight of supply support for assigned systems and equipment across the logistics management spectrum to include the coordination and development of planning for; provisioning, allowancing, configuration management, requirements determination, repairable management, post production support, budgetary planning and execution, overall program support management, logistic data maintenance, maintenance planning, procurement execution, packaging, handling, storage and transportation.
Specialized Experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Providing introduction/orientation of the program to all levels of management and personnel throughout the naval community;
2) Initiates, reviews and renders decisions on work related problems and issues;
3) Collaborates with other units/organizations to resolve inter-organizational problems;
4) Knowledge of the unique provisioning and information systems of the NRP;
5) Knowledge of the Navy Supply System including storage, distribution requirements determination, requisitioning, disposal and budgeting.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-11:Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
