About the Position: TACOM is located in Southeastern Michigan, North of Detroit with nearby universities, world-class museums, art galleries, concert halls, golf courses, and collegiate and professional athletic venues. The Soldier is truly the focus of everything we do. May be assigned to work at TACOM offices on Detroit Arsenal, Garrison, Selfridge Air National Guard Base, or a TACOM leased private facility within the Detroit Metro Area.
Position will be filled on a permanent basis.
Duties
Serves as the Senior Program Analyst in the Program Budget Division, Resource Management/G-8 Program Execution Office.
Analyzing, reviewing, evaluating, consolidating, integrating and coordinating data pertaining to special projects and tasks by the Deputy Chief of Staff for Resource Management.
Serve as a liaison between the Deport and Arsenal on fiscal related matters.
Responsible for program management, technical/analytical expertise, advice and coordination to functional managers of the Resource Management/G-8 offices.
Leads teams in the review, analysis, and evaluation of the overall accomplishments of programs/projects based upon reports, studies and information provided.
Provides effective methods and evaluative techniques in analyzing and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of administrative and technical programs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
- DoD Financial Management Certification level 2 is required for this position and must be achieved by the incumbent within two years of entrance into this position. Incumbent shall adhere to guidelines and requirements of this certification program.

Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, such as: Developing and/or directing management program/project studies with primary emphasis on functional operations, organizational development, and efficiency; Making recommendations for organizational changes, functional realignments, redistribution of manpower resources, or changes in operations based on program requirements and command priorities; and Analyzing and developing alternative solutions for complex issues such as resource management or budget execution, planning, or programming. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
