About the Position: This position supports the mission of the J-8, Financial Operations Directorate and is located in San Antonio, Texas.
Duties
Responsible for applying processes to effectively coordinate multiple actions within the DH MEPRS activities.
Conduct comprehensive research analysis on data collection methods in order to research problem areas, determine sources, and assist in solutions for corrective measures.
Coordinate with the Defense Health Agency (DHA), and other entities to continuously improve labor and non-labor data collection and reporting.
Perform various problem-solving techniques within many areas such as work group dynamics and teams to better enhance performance and utilization management.
Analyze a wide variety of subjects such as resource utilization, productivity, unit and total costs, work center outputs to investigate problem areas and/or develop background statistical and narrative information on DMHRSi outputs.
Provide technical advice to various components of the Military Health Services (MHS) business area in the resolution of complex problems dealing with the interface of data collection methodologies and compatibility issues of various systems.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: collecting and analyzing program data; providing performance improvement recommendations; and utilizing Medical Expense Performance Reporting System (MEPRS) and the Defense Medical Human Resource System internet (DMHRSi). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
