About the Position: This position is to be filled at either the Joint Base San Antonio, Fort Sam Houston, Texas or Falls Church, Virginia location.
Salary negotiation may be available for those new to Federal service.
Duties
Oversees operations related to the IT Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) or portfolio management processes and associated governance for all medical Information Management (IM)/IT services and products totaling over $2 billion/year.
Ensures continuous communication with the Military Medical Departments’ and DHA leadership, via DHA Governance and Resourcing Panels and designated functional community Capability owners throughout the select, control and evaluation phases of CPIC.
Identifies opportunities to reduce costs, standardize processes, and facilitate the objectives of the DHA’s J6 Enterprise services model for support services.
Prepares, consolidates, approves, submits, and justifies the annual $2 billion Defense Health Program Objective Memorandum (POM)/Budget Estimate Submission (BES) and President’s Budget (PB) submissions for the DHP IM/IT Program.
Oversees conduct of associated investment reviews of projects managed within PEO MS/CIO (J-6) as well as those managed by DHA IT PEO and Program Offices.
Executes administrative, supervisory and personnel management responsibilities over civilian and military personnel through subordinate supervisors.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position is subject to a one-year supervisory probationary period.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
