You will serve as a HUMAN RESORCES SPECIALIST (RECRUITMENT AND PLACEMENT) in the CODE 50 of OCHR STENNIS OPERATIONS CENTER.
Duties
You will conduct job analysis (e.g., review position description, classification standards, performance standards) for a variety of occupational series and grades.
You will advise customers on staffing and recruitment processing procedures.
You will build position descriptions in a human resources information system (e.g., the Defense Civilian Personnel Data System [DCPDS]).
You will extend tentative or final job offers to selectees.
You will be making eligibility and qualifications determinations.
You will set pay for General Schedule and Federal Wage System positions.
You will prepare and issue USA Staffing certificates.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting with human resources (HR) issues in accordance to HR regulations and procedures, i.e. reviewing Requests for Personnel Actions (RPAs) for accuracy and completeness, assisting HR Specialists with recruitment or processing of RPAs, etc.; 2) Responding to human resources questions, i.e., providing information or status on vacancy announcements or RPAs; and 3) Referencing HR materials such as manuals and regulations to ensure adherence to HR rules and regulations for processing personnel actions. Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of one full year of graduate level education
OR
Successful completion of a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
