You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (RECRUITMENT/PLACEMENT/COMPENSATION) in the RECRUITMENT, PLACEMENT, AND COMPENSATION DIVISION of STENNIS.
Duties
You will serve as the Supervisory Human Resources (HR) Specialist for Recruitment and Placement providing administrative and technical supervision to assigned staff.
You will assign work to subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare work completion schedules.
You will be responsible for recruitment, placement and compensation program management.
You will advise managers and supervisors on staffing and recruitment requirements and resources.
You will provide guidance on merit system principles, prohibited personnel practices, the development and use of valid selection criteria, and other approaches that help in staffing the organization.
You will review past recruitment practices and local labor market conditions to advise on future staffing strategies.
You will ensure that human resources management services provided to services organizations comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
You will hear and resolve employee complaints, refer group grievances and escalate more serious unresolved complaints to higher level management.
You will plan, coordinate, and administer broad and comprehensive staffing programs for all production activities serviced by the local Fleet HRO.
You will provide guidance to all levels of management officials within serviced commands on complex staffing issues.
You will resolve problems/issues involving conflicting or incomplete information.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
To qualify for the SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (RECRUITMENT/PLACEMENT/COMPENSATION), GS-0201-13 position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience applying advanced concepts, practices, and consultative skills relative to staffing and placement functions.
Experience applying the full range of pay administration policies, principles and practices under Titles 5 of the US Code and DOD and DON pay setting policies.
Experience advising senior leadership on federal laws, executive orders, and regulations relative to staffing and placement.
Experience performing quality assurance activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance for ongoing and completed competitive and non-competitive actions.
Experience providing technical advice and assistance to the human resources staffing specialist.
Experience and skills providing HR consulting advice to hiring managers.
