You will serve as an INDUSTRIAL SPECIALIST (SHIPS) on a PC/LCAC Class Team in the CG/FFG/PC/LCAC Branch, Combatant Division, Waterfront Operations Department, Office of the Executive Director, Norfolk Ship Support Activity (NSSA) of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR.
Duties
You will maintain liaison with customers, ship's force, NSSA functional departments (Engineering, Waterfront Operations, Contracts, Comptroller) and the contractor.
You will act as a funds administrator for assigned availability and contracts.
You will manage ship repair job orders and contracts.
You will provide/disseminate reports on current status of assigned projects and contracts.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience maintaining liaison with customers, ship's force, MARMC functional departments (Engineering, Waterfront Operations, Contracts, Comptroller, and contractor performance).
Experience coordinating planning and estimating, design specification preparation, and scheduling.
Experience conducting the arrival conference, weekly progress conferences, and represents MARMC at all conferences pertaining to the assigned availability.
Experience managing ship repair job orders and contracts by progressing/monitoring all work so as to anticipate, prevent, or minimize delays: resolve problems affecting end-cost, quality, schedule, and performance.
Experience with ship repair and shipbuilding procedures, of overhaul and production methods/process and of quality control/assurance requirements.
Experience planning, estimating, scheduling, and expediting labor, machines, and materials in an industrial environment.
Experience with funds management and accounting procedures, methods, and practices promulgated by Navy Comptroller manuals.
Experience with contract administration and procurement regulations.
