You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INDUSTRIAL SPECIALIST (SHIPBUILDING) in the Third Planning Branch (3PP), Code 351), Planning Division (Code 350), Waterfront Operations Department (WFO) (Code 300) at the MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR.

Duties

You will provide advanced planning management during the pre-production phase and execution phase of assigned availabilities. You will supervise and manage the work of Industrial Specialists, Production Controller, Shipbuilding Specialist and Contractors. You will plan and coordinate work to be accomplished, set/adjust priorities and prepare work completion schedules. You will provide project management for scheduled availabilities, continuous maintenance, and emergent work on ships.

Requirements

  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • This position has been identified as MARMC Mission Essential Personnel (MEP) IAW MARMCINST 5510.3 Chapter 10 dated 27 January 2021.
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Scheduling availabilities, continuous maintenance, and emergent work during pre-production and execution phase of assigned. availabilities in an industrial environment. Planning work to be accomplished and setting work completion schedules. Acting as funds administrator for contracts of ships and submarines.
