About the Position: Serves as a Human Resources Specialist for the Joint Activities Command at Fort Liberty, NC.
Duties
Provide difficult management advisory services and resolve difficult issues/problems requiring consideration of the total personnel management program.
Serve as a Senior Human Resources Specialist Responsible for leading and executing the command’s Civilian Human Resources (CHR) program.
Provide technical advice to to the senior leadership of a 3-Star command in one or more Civilian Human Resources Management (CHRM) functional specialties (e.g., recruitment and placement, position classification, compensation, or employee benefits).
Participate in a variety of special studies, downsizing, regionalization, civilization, senior grade reductions, supervisory ratio reductions, etc.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- This is a drug testing designated position and requires the incumbent to complete a drug test examination prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- This position is subject to perform temporary duty up to 10%.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Providing advisory on a wide range of staffing and workforce planning actions; 2) Assisting in the development of long-range Civilian workforce strategies to meet organizational mission and goals; 3) Conducting reviews to identify operational problem areas and recommend solutions to improve the overall efficiency and quality of civilian human resources staffing services. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
