About the Position: This position is located at the 88th MDG, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. -Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. -Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.

Duties

Plans, coordinates, researches, facilitates and manages programs to meet the formal training needs and requirements for staff members. Facilitates the process for participation in advanced training programs through the management of centrally and locally funded TDYs, Formal AF Courses and commercial medical educational programs. Researches requirements and course offerings to ensure applicability and adequacy of training and to validate that resources are utilized most efficiently. Tracks the educational needs and requirements of assigned personnel. Arranges for the presentation of the various required training courses. Maintains electronic databases to ensure staff training records are accurate and required training is up to date.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled, such as, educational design. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
