This position will support US Army Aviation and Missile Command, U.S. Army TMDE Activity (USATA), Enterprise Support Directorate (ESD), Physical Measurement Division, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. The Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM), a life cycle management command is headquartered at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, a 38,000-acre installation that is home to over 60 international, Federal, and Department of Defense organizations. It is a major subordinate command of the Army Materiel command.
Duties
Evaluate alternative methods of acquiring, analyzing, displaying and reporting measurement data, and procedures.
Maintain the working standards, systems and components of the physical TMDE parameters in support of the calibration and measurement missions.
Analyze TMDE uncertainty levels through application of statistical and mathematical analysis techniques.
Advise and evaluate the appropriate quality assurance and quality control procedures are performed on all systems and measurement processes.
Provide direct support to field activities concerning physical parameters in the form of field technical assists, DA Form 3758 Submissions, RACs, and other support as necessary.
Collaborate with staff engineers to create unique metrology solutions and provide support throughout the acquisition cycle for new and replacement instruments and measurement standards.
Edit procedures and validate publications internally to provide direct support to ESD engineers and writers.

Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes knowledge of metrology and calibration; develop, design and utilize systems and procedures related to hardware and software; data collection, analysis, and inference; data reporting.
