About the Position: The US Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) is the Army's material readiness command for aviation, missile and calibration that optimizes joint warfighter capabilities at the point of need. Duties

Evaluate alternative methods of acquiring, analyzing, displaying and reporting measurement data, and procedures. Maintain primary-level working standards, systems and components in support of the calibration and measurement missions. Determine the uncertainty levels through application of statistical and mathematical analysis techniques. Ensure that appropriate quality assurance and quality control procedures are performed on all systems and measurement processes. Serves as a generalist and subject matter expert in a wide variety of assignments in the field of metrology with the primary emphasis on the calibration, measurement and operation of primary-level measurement standards and systems.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance during the duration of employment.
  • This position requires Temporary Duty Travel up to 10%
  • This position requires the incumbent to lift less than 50 lbs.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience which includes or demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes knowledge of metrology and calibration; develop, design and utilize systems and procedures related to hardware and software; data collection, analysis, and inference data reporting. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). For this grade level, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
