TSI is seeking a Transit Safety and Security Specialist who will develop training programs, instruct, manage and facilitate classes, perform evaluations, and conduct seminars and symposiums. Program include all facets of safety and security work with transit systems.

Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications:To qualify for the Grade 13, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-12, it must include:
Experience in developing and implementing transit safety and security projects, programs and plans, and ensuring their compliance with safety oversight regulations.
Experience in training program development, modification, instruction, and revision including changes and updates due to subject matter changes and/or needs of students.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Expert knowledge of transit bus and transit rail safety and security programs on the local, State and Federal Knowledge includes, but is not limited to transit safety and security efforts for Executive managers, safety and security managers, operation managers, community law enforcement, emergency responders, risk managers, transit field supervisors, and emergency plan developers. Other knowledge regarding state safety oversight, state safety program plan and state security program plan implementers and managers, bus and rail accident investigators, design engineers, as well as inspectors and auditors is required.
Requires comprehensive knowledge of training technology including computers in the classroom, computer hardware and software applications for training, and audio/visuals
Comprehensive knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and precedents applicable to the administration of FTA funding for TSI
Knowledge of FTA program goals, objectives, mission, mandates and milestones. In depth knowledge of relationships with other programs and key administrative support functions within and outside the agency.
