You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the INSTALLATIONS and LOGISTICS DEPARTMENT of HQ US MARINE CORPS.

Duties

You will analyze transportation and distribution management strategy objectives, policies, work operations and progress, resource estimates and usage, and any other associated aspects of transportation programs. You will apply and align transportation and distribution program strategies to policy and statutory/regulatory requirements. You will support, identify, plan and oversee packaging/preservation, handling, storage, and transportation requirements to maximize availability and usability of the materiel to meet mission requirements.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector supporting logistic and inventory management programs, developing, refining, analyzing, issuing logistics policies, reviewing and evaluating current or projected logistics management practices.
