About the Position: Serves as Chief, Major End Items Division. Responsible for supervising and directing worldwide Department of the Army (DA) logistic operations. Serves as key Army management specialist and Special Advisor and consultant to the Director, Assistant Office of Deputy Chief of Staff (AODCS), G4 and Office of Deputy Chief of Staff (ODCS), G4 (Logistics)(G4). Located in Arlington, VA.

Duties

Oversee the development of Department of Defense (DOD) and DA sustainment logistics policy. Ensure the development and execution of supply and logistics management procedures and technical processes, to include automation in support of established policy to maximize readiness and meet audit requirements. Ensure that all logistics supply policies are responsive, commander centric and soldier focused in order to enable Total Army Readiness. Develop and present Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS), G4 and Army position on the Army's logistics and supply management operations to senior representatives within the federal legislative branch, OSD, DOD agencies, and DA.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes validating requirements for Program Objective Memorandum (POM) in support of the Planning, Programming Budget and Execution (PPBE) process; developing logistics supply policies, plans, resources and/or procedures; evaluating the effectiveness of operations in terms of mission accomplishment, quality and quantity standards, procedural, policy and regulatory compliance, and/or technical competence. This specialized experience is equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Data ManagementOral CommunicationOrganizational Development Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
