This vacancy is for a Program Analyst position in the Department of Commerce located at the U.S. Census Bureau Headquarters in Suitland, Maryland. The Census Bureau is accessible from the Metro Rail Green Line - Suitland Station. Duties

Directs and develops plans for project teams or other groups in accomplishing and/or producing projects and/or studies. Fosters communications to identify and resolve policy issues. Develops, analyzes, and evaluates new or modified program and/or management policies, procedures, regulations, goals, or objectives. Supervises one or more employees on a regular and recurring basis.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes: managing and negotiating with executive level officials regarding development and execution of federal policies and procedures; analyzing and evaluating data quality and content, policy changes, and proposed legislation; ability to formulate complex programs and conduct complex studies on assembly analysis; ability to utilize administrative/financial data systems. Education: Education cannot be substituted at this grade level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer.
