About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the 83c 704th Military Intelligence Brigade S3 located in Fort Meade, MD.
Duties
Develops, coordinates, prepares, revises, and/or modifies the personnel and equipment portions of Brigade-level Tables of Distribution and Authorization (TDA), and Mobilization TDAs, in support of The National Security Agency (NSA).
Managing manpower and force structure actions involving 704th Military Intelligence Brigade, Expeditionary Operations Support Group (EOSG), Reserve MOB and NSA JDAL units.
Advises commander on technical problems and makes authoritative decisions based on interpretation of policy; may involve establishing precedents.
Serves as the Brigade Action Officer for the INSCOM Plan (TIP), coordinating all input from subordinate elements.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required 15% or less of the time.
