THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a IT SPECIALIST (CUSTOMER SUPPORT) T32, Position Description Number PDD2525P01 and is part of the AZ G6, National Guard.

Duties

This position is located at the G6 in Phoenix, Arizona. This position works in the customer support service desk section. Serves as an Information Technology (IT) Specialist (CUSTSPT) responsible for the delivery of customer support services, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance and/or training, in response to customer requirements. As an IT Customer Support Specialist, the incumbent is responsible for providing Tier II technical support at the Service Desk and responsible for customer relationship building and problem resolution management. Work is performed in a tiered Service Desk environment involving support to multiple sites for the planning and delivery of information technology customer support services including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, and/or training in response to customer requirements. THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

Requirements

  • ARIZONA ARMY NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. Prior to appointment into this position, selectee must be a current member of the Arizona Army National Guard, in a military organization supported by the G6.
  • This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
  • Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
  • Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
  • Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
  • Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
  • Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
  • May be required to travel to and from offsite worksite(s) from the normal work area to perform assigned duties. Due to distances involved, travel may involve one or more overnight stays.
  • Incumbent must complete appropriate training and obtain required certifications IAW DoDI 8140, DOD 8570.0lM (cont)
  • or applicable governing document(s) for Cyber workforce as an IA Technician Level II within 6 months of employment pending training seat availability.
  • Must maintain a minimum of SECRET clearance. However, TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) may be required based on the highest classification level utilized in the state.

Military Grades: Officer: 2LT/O1 - 1LT/O2 Warrant Officer: WO1/W1 - CW5/W5 Enlisted: SPC/E4 - SGM/CSM/E9 Compatible Military Assignments: Officer: 25 Series Branch Warrant Officer: 255 Series MOS Enlisted: 25 Series MOS SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 24 months IT experience, education, or training in analysis of the interrelationship of pertinent components of the system. IT experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment. IT experience scheduling the sequence of programs to be processed by computers where alternatives had to be weighed with a view to production efficiency.
