You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the CORPORATE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

Duties

You will serve as the Principal Staff Lead (PSL) for NSWC Port Hueneme Corporate Operations Department as an integral member of the Code 10 management Team. You will facilitate and expedite executive decision making and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Department (e.g., division managers, internal and external stakeholders, and community/customer outreach). You will provide overall insight into the development and management of corporate operations and business procedures, and operational schedules necessary for maintaining a complex and multifaceted organization., managing multiple projects. You will plan, monitor, and administer department functions as an integral member of the department management team, employing expertise in resource planning and management. You will provide department action tracking, planning and administration, data calls, and operational and business management support services for the effective and efficient execution of the department business operations processes. You will conduct comprehensive analysis of department operation criteria, including technical competencies and metrics to ensure department health, compliance with command goals and mission objectives. You will lead teams, plan work and tasking, set priorities, accomplish objectives and meet deadlines. You will analyze data, represent information in appropriate charts, write effective analysis of trends and findings, and present data to senior management and employees.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency) or grade level in the federal service, or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying analytical and evaluative methods to oversee the development, management, and optimization of administrative and operational functions in the execution of business operations of an organization.
