About the Position: This position is with the United States Army Reserve Command, Army Reserve G-1, Military Personnel Division, Enlisted Management Branch, located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.

Duties

Serve as the Army Reserve’s Subject Matter Expert on Army Reserve Troop Program Unit military personnel programs. Serve as the Army Reserve’s Program Manager and Subject Matter Expert on military separations and reassignments to the Individual Ready Reserve and Retired Reserve. Research and review changes in legislation, DOD, and Army policy for impacts on assigned programs and develops policy, guidance, procedures to implement these changes in new military personnel policies. Conduct staff assistance visits and inspections related to Army Reserve military personnel programs to ensure compliance with statute, policy, and directives. Plan, develop, integrate, and provide technical assistance for assigned programs to include teaching, coaching and mentoring team and subordinate command personnel.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
