About the Position: This position is located at G-3/5/7 Deputy G3 Training, Security Assistance Training Field Activity, Fort Eustis, VA. Fort Eustis, Virginia is located in Newport News, between historic Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. Local Transportation via the Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) bus service to the surrounding area which includes Hampton, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake and Virginia Beach, York County, Gloucester, Suffolk, and Smithfield.
Duties
Develop in conjunction with other Geographic Combatant Commands and Security Cooperation Offices, a five-year training requirement to meet the planning requirements prescribed by appropriate regulations and budget guidance.
Assist assigned counties in developing Foreign Military Sales training programs that are executable within the U.S. Army institutional training base and are in compliance with those statutes, regulations, and policies.
Responsible for organization data bases and program records for the U.S. Army Security Assistance training programs for all foreign countries and international organizations within assigned geographical training program.
Responsible for planning, programming, scheduling, and administration of Security Assistance training programs for all foreign countries and international organizations within assigned geographical area of responsibility.
Develop and deliver briefs to ranking members of foreign militaries and governments on assigned Security Assistance training programs it relates to the cost, performance, and schedule of the programs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- The incumbent must complete certification-related training requirements in the SC Area of Concentration (AoC) SCW certification level: SC Case Life Cycle Management (AOC)within 3 years - Intermediate Level.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes includes: 1) Manage security assistance training, planning, programming, and execution process; 2) Conduct analytical studies to identify the most appropriate method to overcome security assistance training deficiencies; 3) Develop programs and implement special programs to fulfill foreign country training requirements in support of Foreign Military Sales agreements, political considerations and fulfillment of security assistance training program objectives; 4) Implement policies, regulations and procedures related to security assistance training programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11 or above).
