About the Position: This is a DoD Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) position in the NH-03 broadband with an advertised pay range from the lowest equivalent GS grade 12 Step 1 to the highest equivalent GS 13 grade step 10 in the broadband.
Duties
Provide advice, guidance and assistance to PM Management concerning the contractual/ procurement aspects of highly complex, high monetary value, long term acquisitions for major weapon systems.
Consult with the supervisor to manage the complete acquisition program designated major systems/equipment throughout the entire life cycle of assigned very complex systems.
Helps establish, plan for and in support of acquisition reform serve on Source Selection Evaluation Board (SSEB) to analyze proposals to ensure conformance with PM’s initial weapon systems acquisition requirements.
Respond to a wide variety of inquiries, including formal protests and congressional inquiries.
Serve as an advisor to project officials in planning meetings in the development of long-range acquisition plans and strategies.
Requirements

- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Contracting Professional Certification within 36 months of entry on duty. Are you willing to abide by these conditions.
- This position requires the incumbent to maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as the following duties:1) Provide recommendations on contracting approaches for long term acquisitions of major weapons systems; 2) Maintain internal control to advise Senior Officials on matters related to the procurement and contracting process; and, 3) Utilize Acquisition Regulations such as the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) to plan and manage the contract development process. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02 or GS-11 equivalent.
