Duties

Plan, develop and establish the contractual strategy for the overall acquisition program for the organization. Responsible for the full range of acquisition planning and contract management functions required to support a project. Servers as a primary representative on contract related task forces. Makes reports to higher headquarters on status of contracts.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
• Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level "Contracting Professional" in the Acquisition Career Field Contracting within 24 months of entrance on duty.
• This position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time.
• The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• This position requires pre-employment Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02. Specialized experience is defined as execution and contract administration activities in procurement of aviation systems, weapons systems or other components of similar complexity; development of strategies and Contract Requirement Packages (CRPs) for various contract types and special contracting methods such as Firm-Fixed Price (FFP), Fixed Price Incentive (FPI), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Cost Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF). Assists in the preparation of statements of work and solicitation documents. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02/GS-11 equivalent. The pay band for this position, NH-3, is equivalent to GS-12 through GS-13. If the qualifications of the applicant selected for the vacancy exceeds the minimum required, placement salary maybe adjusted higher to commensurate with those qualifications.
