You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the SECURITY OFFICE of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
Duties
You will be responsible for the direction and/or planning, formulation, development, coordination and implementation of the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and IMF physical security program.
You will formulate security program Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and supplements applicable to security regulations for Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and IMF.
You will administer the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and IMF Personnel Security Program in accordance with current laws, regulations and policies.
You will be responsible for conducting surveillances of shipyard boundaries and facilities for unauthorized use of Personal Electronic Devices (PEDs) and smart phones.
You will be responsible for performing audits of the security force's inspection of vehicles and personnel carrying parcels out of the Controlled Industrial Area (CIA) to detect unauthorized removal of government materials.
You will be responsible for performing inspections of the CIA fence line to ensure proper maintenance and checks for damage or attempted intrusions.
You will be responsible for the physical security of Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and IMF personnel, contractors, visitors and facilities.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing security laws, regulations and policies in order to conduct physical security surveys, determine employee eligibility for access to classified or sensitive information, and review spaces for establishing secure rooms for the storage and handling of classified information.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
Three (3) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.M., if related to the position
