About the Position: Headquarters, US Army Forces Command Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Fort Liberty is a culturally diverse area with rural and city populations, co-located at Fayetteville, NC centrally located in the beautiful state of North Carolina, which enjoys a temperate year-round climate and world-renowned colleges and universities. Fayetteville is centrally located between the beautiful beaches of North Carolina and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains.
Duties
Serves as a Senior Logistics Management officer on the FORSCOM G4 staff. Has a primary responsibility for all logistics matters within the headquarters and the Command pertaining to Logistics/Maintenance Policy development and execution.
Developing, reviewing and implementing directives, policies, procedures systems and programs affecting FORSCOM logistics operations such as Command Maintenance Discipline Program(CMDP), Army Award for Maintenance Excellence Program.
Manages FORSCOM maintenance program to ensure accomplishment of peacetime and wartime needs.
Provides staff and technical advice to all command echelons as required for all matters concerning maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
- Required to perform occasional TDY by commercial or military aircraft to conduct staff visits or provide representation on HQ FORSCOM and DA Command 40% of the time.
- Must possess valid state driver's license in order to drive rental car.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes1) Applying regulations, policies, laws and procedures which affect logistical operations and services; 2) Utilizing qualitative and quantitative techniques to analyze logistics studies and technical reports; 3) Providing technical guidance on logistical requirements to higher and subordinate commands. Developing and executing of the automated logistics information systems. . This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS12).
