Duties
Management and execution of organizational awards program including leading review and editing of all organizational awards packages to ensure quality award packages.
Coordination with various points of contacts across the organization to ensure that the program is aligned with organizational and leadership needs.
Coordinate and oversee large events including awards presentations, program commencement activities and other workforce events.
Coordinate and support various workforce initiatives, oversight of various specialized workforce programs, tracking key information and providing requisite reports.
Manage and execute taskers within the area of concern, managing engagements with various constituencies including internal workforce and external customers.
Track multiple competing task lists across a variety of areas and providing support to various community and workforce outreach programs including engaging with youth, college-aged students and members of the larger community.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Occasional Business Travel is required up to 10% of the time away from the duty station.
- Must obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

This position is being filled under the Direct Hire Authority (DHA) Mission Support positions authorized by 85 FR 78829 dtd 12/07/2020.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade or band is required. It is defined as one year of specialized experience equivalent to the DE-02 pay band (GS-11 level) in the Federal Service which includes experience in: 1) Coordinating a large-scale awards program; 2) Ability to show outstanding written communication skills/ability to edit; and 3) Independently interpret and apply human resources regulations, laws, policies and practices.
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
