About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency. It is located within the Martin Army Community Hospital Director of Executive Quality Management. Located in Fort Moore, GA. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Management and Program Analyst that performs duties as the Performance Improvement Coordinator (PIC).
Duties
Provide technical oversight and management of the organization’s performance improvement program.
Manage the organization’s preparation, record keeping, and report of significant findings related to patient care practices and presents findings and analyses.
Develop and implement systems, policies, and procedures for identification, collection, and analysis of performance improvement data.
Analyze the facilities patient outcomes, safety and quality data received from various sources to assess the validity of the data.
Provide consulting services to all Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
Lead and facilitate quality assessment, processes, data analysis, and performance improvement activities using the Lean Six Sigma advance problem-solving methodology.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must possess and/or able to obtain Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification within 18 months.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
- This is a Mission Essential position. Employee is required to remain in place or report for duty during inclement weather conditions or other appropriate emergency conditions.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in methods to collect and analyze various types of information by screening, extracting, compiling report data; and experience in compliance with regulatory standards, customer and staff satisfaction; and experience utilizing personnel data. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position,

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
