About the Position: This position is located at Fort Moore, GA. The incumbent will serve as the Garrison Administrative Services Division Chief. Administers the program, which includes Records Management, Mail and Distribution, Army Correspondence, Freedom of Information and Privacy Act, Office Symbols, Printing and Publishing.
Duties
Provides direction, control, supervision, and policy guidance related to assigned elements which includes Records Mgmt, Publications, Forms, Official Mail and Distro, Postal Mgmt, Freedom of Info Act (FOIA), Privacy Act (PA), and Office Symbols Mgmt.
Develops and manages short and long range planning and/or implements standards and criteria for uniformity and operational continuity of systems and the documentation requirements for on-going systems.
Prepares and presents detailed briefings to top management on results of significant studies on assigned program elements.
Develops supplemental instructional and Records Management and Publications/Printing informational materials related to assigned programs for use by management personnel at the installation.
Manages the installation Official Mail Program and the Official Mail and Distribution Center. Supervises the daily operation of the installation Official Mail and Distribution Center
Ensures that the privacy of individuals is protected from unwarranted invasion by ensuring the collection and maintenance of recorded information about the individual is necessary, accurate, relevant, timely and complete.
Periodically conducts special studies and/or surveys at installation activities relative to assigned IM program elements, which would typically involve complex problems or process improvements.
Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employee.

- The duties of the position require Temporary Duty Travel approximately 10% of the duty time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes to analyze and provide opinion and recommendations on resolving critical problems, procedures or processes for improving existing management information programs OR (2) Deliver, monitor, test, and evaluate administrative systems for use within an organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
