About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the US ARMY INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY CMD MISSION SUPPORT COMMAND/ACofS, G3 AVIATION AND AIR SENORS DIVISION FORT BELVOIR, VA. TERM: NTE: 5 years, may be made permanent.

Duties

Serves as Senior Program Manager, Contract Officer Representative and subject matter expert of the assigned AFRICOM ISR COCO and INSCOM mission support programs. Serves as senior technical representative at high-level conferences and meetings with representatives from Department of Defense (DoD), DA, other Intelligence Community (IC) partners, military services and agencies, and private industry. Serves as a senior manager and leader for management and continuous improvement of the requirements process ranging from initial development of the requirement until the service is no longer required. Provides technical oversight and direction to other senior members of the organization and peer level supervisors in execution of a very complex acquisition operation, with corresponding personnel and position management responsibilities.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on an SBI with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
• TDY will be required 25% or less of the time.
• All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
