About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W4NHAA US ARMY NETCOM U.S. ARMY NETCOM HEADQUARTERS, ACOFS G-2, INTELLIGENCE, SECURITY DIVISION, FORT HUACHUCA AZ.

Duties

Oversee intelligence support to Army/NETCOM DoDIN operations and development of future architectures and network capabilities. Provide quality control of threat analysis functions to support operation, maintenance, and defense of the Army portion of the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN). Lead a team that analyzes and provides authoritative determination, advice on, or disposition of incoming intelligence data. Initiates new administrative procedures and quality control regarding intelligence production and dissemination.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must obtain and maintain TOP SECRET Security Clearance based on a single scope background investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for access to sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • CI scope polygraph may be required.
  • Occasional temporary duty (TDY) as required would mandate travel by military or commercial aircraft or by any other-directed conveyance.
  • Occasional shift work, holiday work, and compensated overtime are required dependent upon Force Protection Condition (FPCON) levels and world events.

This definition of specialize experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is progressively responsible experience which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Intelligence and Threat Support (I&TS)Planning and EvaluatingProject ManagementTechnical Competence
