Mission Statement: DHRA's mission is to provide program support, information management, and administrative services to the DoD Components on human resource matters and to collect, archive and provide management information, research and analysis of human resources and other related functional area databases for the DoD.

This position is being filled under the memorandum from the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (USD(P&R)) "Expansion of Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense," dated 6/23/2023
As a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECAILIST (SYSADMIN/NETWORK) at the GS-2210-12 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Manages and support COMSEC, performs monthly COMSEC training, supports quarterly inventories, provides support to EKMS Manager for IG audits. Manges SKL, installs new keys, install and configure HAIPE appliances, keeps COMSEC drawer CCRI ready.
Manages and maintains proper accountability, handling, storage, packaging, shipment, all incoming/outgoing transfers, signed receipts, hand receipts and administration of all Communications Security (COMSEC) equipment and materials.
Develops and implements configuration management plans for complex wide area networks (WANs). Troubleshoots and resolves network problems. Initiates corrective action with vendor representatives as appropriate, opening/resolving trouble-tickets, if required, to bring in vendor support for resolution.
Creates and maintains documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records. Conducts research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry.
Practices network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications. Provides schematics, documentation, procedures, and guidance on network issues to management and internal staff.
Monitors Enterprise network using SolarWinds, ensures service is restored following outages to LAN, WAN and NIPRNet circuits.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS 12 , if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service as listed below:
Act as a Network Administrator for LAN, WAN, or WLAN networks.
Maintain network architecture and infrastructure.
Plan, design, develop and integrate network systems.
