This position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity. The incumbent provide the total range of DMDC business-type, IT/IS Strategic planning and policy activities and oversee all Transition Management staff elements and contractors.
Duties
As a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) at the GS-2210-15 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Responsible for the oversight and guidance of the Division staff who plan for, develop and implement the program management plans to migrate DMDC's IT application and operations from one technology to another, from on-premise data center to cloud, and to oversee the
building out of new technology solutions.
Responsible for coordinating and completing all DMDC Data Center closures and system migrations including but not restricted to the DoDC in Seaside, California and the DMDC owned infrastructure located at the DISA DECC in Columbus, Ohio.
Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) in translating DMDC information technology requirements to leadership concerning strategic plans and policy requirements as well as translating DMDC corporate strategy into actionable IT Strategy goals and objectives.
Provides the coordination and integration of actions, plans, and functions within the Division as well as between the Directorates and other Division activities.
Ensures adoption of emerging technologies, re-envisioning existing technology and future use cases, development of network architectures, configuration management, and developing processes and documentation for operational support.
Responsible for oversight and guidance of the development, issuance, and ongoing inventory of Information Technology (IT) property and equipment accountability, accounting and reporting to include policy development; oversight of the implementation of such policies by the DoD, Components; and oversight of personal equipment accountability and management systems utilized by both DHRA and DMDC.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service:
Plan and execute application/database migrations from legacy data centers into government approved cloud enclaves.
Develop and execute IT/IS (Information Technology)/ (Information Systems) strategic planning, establish metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and policies.
Oversee Advanced IT activities, concepts, methods to implement cloud IT concepts such as an Agency Cloud Strategy (e.g., Service (SaaS), Platform as Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as Service (IaaS), and Cloud Security Implementation of security principal and methods) to protect cloud-based infrastructure, application and data.
Plans, directs, and coordinates operations through subordinate supervisors.
Plans work for subordinates, setting and adjusting long and short-term priorities and preparing schedules for
completion of work.
