Duties

This position is responsible for program integration and acquisition operations management of $948M DoD Space-based Environmental Monitoring programs to address top two DoD weather requirements. Leads program integration team in organizing program efforts for timely responses to higher headquarter taskers; track/monitor and organize EWS; integrate three major sections within EWS branch activities to be in lock-step with guidance from the materiel leader; plans acquisition activities coordination and support branch leadership with business operations across EWS portfolio. EWS is EO/IR Weather Systems -- EO meaning Electro-Optical, IR meaning Infrared.

• This position has been designated as an acquisition position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP).
• The employee must meet, or be capable of meeting, Defense Acquisition Work Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position.
• Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
• May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours.
• Employee is expected to meet Continuing Acquisition Education requirements.
• This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject random testing for drug use.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
• This position is eligible for situational telework, 2-4 days per pay period.
• Relocation/Recruitment incentive is available.
