This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14.
You will serve as the Technical Department Acquisition Advocate (TDAA) in the Business Operations Office (Code 7001) of the Ranges, Engineering and Analysis Department of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport.
Duties
You will will organize the Department's resources to ensure commitments are met and serve as the Department's central point of contact for members of the Acquisition Team(s) that are external to the Department.
You will assist in the development of procurement packages.
You will review and monitor requisitions for any contract for basic incremental funding task orders.
You will review invoices for accuracy and ensure receipt of deliverables.
You will work with Technical Project Managers, Contracting Officer's Representatives and technical subject matter experts to identify the technical and business requirements the Department plans to execute via the acquisition process.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 pay band (GS-11 and GS-12 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying a wide range of acquisition principles to coordinate procurement and major contract activities for an organization.
