About the Position: Serves as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist for the Joint Activities Command at Fort Liberty, NC.
Duties
Develops CONUS and OCONUS Logistics and Engineering policies, procedures and directives for the command.
Integrates the separate functions in planning and implementing the command logistics management program.
Serve as the technical advisor on all matters relating to property and regulatory requirements affecting property administration and accountability.
Advise management of cost, schedule and performance parameters pertinent to command programs and ensures compliance with all contractual requirements.
Serve as the subject matter expert and principal advisor to the Commander and Directorate Head on all aspects of forward support logistics management.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- This is a drug testing designated position and requires the incumbent to complete a drug test examination prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- This position is designated as Emergency Essential IAW Section 1580 of title10, United States Code (U.S.C.). Incumbent must be exempted from recall to active duty because of Reserve or retired military obligation.
- This position is deployable and requires extensive travel, temporary duty (TDY) up to 30% of the time.
- Must have a yearly physical with lab/medical testing and immunizations for the deployed location.
- Incumbent is required to file a DD Form 1555 (Statement of Employment and Financial Interest) in accordance with AR 600-50.
- Subject to 24-hour recall.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless previously completed.
- A one-year supervisory probation may be required unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Applying regulations, policies, laws and procedures which affect integrated logistical operations, services, and contracts; 2) Utilizing qualitative and quantitative techniques to analyze logistics studies and technical reports; 3) Providing technical guidance on logistical requirements to higher and subordinate commands; 4) Plan and manage the programming and budgeting for command Logistics functions.
