About the Position: As the Division Chief for the Strategic Services & Category Mgmt Division for the Army Contracting Command-Redstone. Provides management overview and expertise in customer and industry relations through the strategic integration of Category Mgmt and Strategic Sourcing principles into acquisition strategies. This position is subject to organizational compensation limits as identified in the organization's CCAS business rules or separate compensation management strategy policy.
Duties
Performs the full range of administrative and technical supervisory duties.
Serves as the division chief and senior acquisition and business specialist for the Army Contracting Command Redstone (ACC-RSA).
Manages a variety of recurring and ad hoc assignments in such areas as research and analysis, acquisition oversight and review, process improvement initiatives, customer service enhancement.
Serves as senior point of contact and advisor to industry to promote a thorough understanding of ACC-RSA strategic sourcing initiatives.
Serves as senior advisor to senior-level program officials advising senior program officials of the procurement objectives to be used and manages the process of strategic requirements integration in support of Contract Requirements Packages (CRP).
Serves as a senior advisor and expert on improved utilization of category management tools, strategic sourcing, and acquisition execution.
Administers customer relations program to seek opportunities to advise, counsel, and support ACC-RSA mission partners and consider the use of strategic sources and solutions.
Fosters relationships with key senior mission partner acquisition personnel, overseeing the planning, coordination, and facilitation of corporate outreach, seminars, workshop, briefing, and training events.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 15% of the time.
- The duties of this position require submission of, on an annual basis, OGE 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level I (Foundational) in the Acquisition Career Field (Contracting) within 36 months of entrance on duty.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- One-year supervisory probationary period may be required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience 1) Developing a strategy for Category Management by reviewing statistical data; 2) Advising management on procurement objectives in support of the Contract Requirements Package; 3) Develops new techniques to improve productivity; and 4) Performs supervisory responsibilities.
