About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25.
This position is with 7th Signal Command, 21st Signal Brigade, located at Fort Detrick, Maryland.
Duties
Establish vehicle fleet management policies, standards, and usage measures, and monitors to evaluate performance.
Utilizes a variety of command, DoD services, and commercial logistics and maintenance management platforms in support of readiness monitoring and status reporting.
Work independently with higher headquarters to ensure command requirements are satisfied.
Ensure ground level and above ground level Self Supporting Structure and Guyed Wire tower maintenance inspections and safety inspections follows all the EIA/TIA-222-G, ANSI/OSHA regulation standards.
Serve as a liaison maintenance professional proving support to the Brigade Engineer Team working Facility Infrastructure Mission Unique Equipment (FI-MUE) and Site Power Coordinator (SPC) Inspectable equipment.
Monitor planning and budgeting activities for sustainment of maintenance support of telecommunications Facilities Infrastructure Mission Unique Equipment (FI-MUE) assets.
Develop, implement, and monitor compliance with Brigade Material Readiness and Maintenance Management policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by ability to perform a wide variety of logistics management functions in support of brigade operations; knowledge of function maintenance management, along with coordinating and integrating logistical functions such as but not limited to supply management, transportation, logistics automation, and resources in achieving efficient and effective logistical support to the Brigade; knowledge to support the Brigade as an Automotive Maintenance Officer; and the ability to provide guidance and technical input to subordinate operations
