This position is located in the Information Technology Division / Arlington, Virginia.
The selectee of this position serves as a Supervisory Budget Analyst responsible for supervising work in a wide variety of analytical and administrative duties relating to budget formulation, budget execution, and financial management.
Duties
As a Supervisory Budget Analyst at the GS-0560-14 grade level, some of your typical work assignments may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Providing guidance on complex issues that arise regarding budget formulation and execution for a multi-million-dollar budget.
Preparing monthly financial reviews managers are apprised of the status of their program funds.
Overseeing capital planning and investment procedures, budget, and capital spending projections.
Using automated financial management and information systems to record transactions and share information.
Assisting staff with the Employee Transit Program, travel cards, purchase cards, payroll issues, travel issues, etc.

Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable determination of suitability for a Public Trust position.
- May be required to successfully complete a supervisory probation period.
- Status Candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level).

Qualifications
TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit Promotion and Veterans Employment Opportunity Act (VEOA) Status applicants must provide an SF50 Notice of Personnel Action that indicates proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility. The SF50 must include the position, title, series, grade, step, tenure, type of service (Competitive or Excepted) and career status (career or career-conditional). No award SF50 will be accepted as proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility.
One year at the GS-13 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 grade level.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the experience required for the grade level to which you apply.
To qualify at the GS-14 grade level, you must meet the following:
Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. You must have at least one year (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties:
Consulting with budget liaisons, program analysts, or management officials to prepare, justify, and execute program budgets;
Developing cost-benefit analyses to inform decision-making in the budget formulation and/or budget approval process;
Using Microsoft Office or similar suite of applications to draft, edit, and publish a variety of written documents submitted in budget request packages;
Providing technical advice or guidance to a variety of audiences at varying organizational levels on budgetary matters (e.g., management, peers, support staff); and
Managing competing workload priorities for a team of budget analysts, support staff, and/or contractors.
