About the Position: This Business Management Specialist position is assigned to the Office of the Secretary of the Army, Deputy ASA(ALT) DASA (P) Office Senior Service Manager (PV) located at Arlington, VA.

Duties

Formulates and implements policies and directives within The Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army (Procurement) (ODASA(P)) to translate guidance into mission direction changes and modifications. Participates in goal formation and long-term training strategy development to assist with organizational improvements. Develops and manages a training management program for the organization to ensure annual training requirements are met and adhered to. Plans, develops, and monitors implementation of plans, policies, procedures and guidance to assist with organizational improvements. Provides means of measuring process improvements and achieving improvements in organizational efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
  • Selectees must meet position requirements for Advanced certification in the Acquisition Career Field Program Management within 48 months of entrance on duty.
  • Business travel required up to 25% of the time.
  • Selectee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade NH-02/GS-11 or equivalency which includes: 1) Experience working on a senior staff at the operational level or higher; 2) Participating in multi-functional Integrated Product Teams (IPT); 3) Developing and presenting communication products targeted at the senior leader and higher headquarters level; and 4) Participating in strategic planning functions or activities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02 pay band (GS-11 equivalent). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: CommunicationsDecision MakingPlanning and EvaluatingProblem Solving
