About the Position: The pay band NH-04 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-14 to 15. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.
Duties
Serves as a Business Management Specialist within the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army (Procurement) (ODASA(P)).
Oversees all updates to the AFARS, AFARS PGI, and senior procurement executive delegation memoranda, and other procurement policy documents.
Researches, assess, and interpret procurement guidance from various sources (OMB, DoD, Army, etc.)
Provides recommendations to directors and team leads for resolving problems related to procurement policy.
Performs duties of the procurement policy directorate SharePoint lead, communications lead, and historian
Establishes processes and procedures for maintenance of historical records.
Manages policy alert requests from other ODASA(P) directorates and assist with drafting policy alerts as needed.
Prepares alerts pertaining to relevant procurement policies and distribute contracting policy alerts.

- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 20% of the time.

Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-03). Specialized experience: One year specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03 or GS-13 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service that includes ALL the following 1) Communicating procurement guidance from various sources clearly, orally and in writing, to all levels of acquisition professionals, including senior leaders. 2) Participating in formal or informal working groups, integrated project teams, and internal teams to coordinate and facilitate responses to a wide variety of policy-related inquires. 3) Implementing policies and/or practices for updating the AFARS, AFARS PGI, senior procurement executive delegation memoranda, and other procurement policy documents.
